Feedback is welcome. i didnt know what to title this blog ive written it ive just not put the title at the top. ive done both formats so thats up to you which one you prefer, back story or straight to the point, let me know in the comments below if you would like it changed in any way. The foamon C24 uses a plexiglass sheet for the carriage, whilst the other machines use aluminium. it has a 10 sheet cut capacity. The plexiglass material welds to the acrylic carriage very easily, which makes cleaning it very easy. I tried both methods of cutting not having any easy access to the inside of the machine using the plexi-glass only and with access to the inside of piece i cut out. My preferred method was definitely with access to all areas of piece i cut out. The foamon C24 has some nice features to improve on the standard vinyl cutter. It has individual pneumatic valves for each of the four wires, so you can change wire pressure very easy. Also it has a z-axis system which uses hypodermic tubing to apply upwards pressure on the tool, so it will always cut straight, no matter how hard you try not to. The machine comes with a good quality laptop which makes sending jobs to the cutter easy and efficient (using gcode). The laptop is samsung 450u4c model. There are two buttons at the top of machine one is green and one is red. The green one turns the pneumatic valve on and the red one turns it off. I found that it is hard to use both at the same time as they are both trying to turn off each other. External reference: http://www.foamon.com/pdf/C24_English_Manual. pdf The carriage is made from 3mm side plates, the rails are 2mm P3-05/C-02. The pneumatic valves are 1/4" NPT and 1/4" 5 port to get the pressure right. I used a electronic pencil for adjusting the tension on them and they were quite stiff and difficult to get onto. The cylinder to hold the 1/4" tube is made from 1mm P3-05 plate, 1 x 4mm ball bearing and 2 x 2mm spacers to give it strength. eccc085e13
